Ahhh..................and I can breath again!

Wow.....now that was a crazy, hectic, exhausting, but none the less fun holiday season.  I have about 15 notes saved on my phone (With a great application called Evernote, if you were curious) about all the things I wanted to blog about.  There was just not enough time in the day for me to sit down and write about them.  Besides scheduling a big work presentation December 15th (lesson learned-Don't ever do that again!), all the things I had planned were fun, and definitely worth all of my hard work.  I won't bore you with all of them, but I do want to share some of my favorite events, projects, and holiday traditions that occurred during the Holiday Season 2011.
I started out December 1st with a homemade Advent calender.  Not quite the same, but similar to the one I so fondly remember as a kid. (we used to fight about who got to put up the ornament each day).  Myself along with a lot of assistance from my mom, worked for well over a month to complete!  Cooper loved it, but wanted to put each ornament on the real tree.

We built Cooper some Birthday fun...."Under Construction" on December 17th.  Yellow, orange, and black were the colors.  I displayed the birthday cupcakes, and chips in dump trucks.  I layed out various tools, and balloons for decorations.  Our families and friends joined us at a hotel for some bowling, swimming, and loads of fun.  Cooper had a blast and besides the thousands of other parties (so much for my creative idea), it was a fantastic day.

The next weekend was Christmas.  We shared a wonderful day with my family, and my awesome niece, and nephew.  Cooper came down with a fever the day before Christmas Eve, but still enjoyed hanging with his cousins.  He really got into opening gifts this year, and his new catch phrase became "Party?".  Why not?  That's all we did.......Party Party Party!
Santa was very good to all of us this year.  He brought Cooper a electric fire truck and a costume to boot!  Poor guy was still sick and miserable until New Years Eve.(Severe cold, double ear infection, and pink eye)  Of course myself, daddy, his cousin, and grandpa shared his sickness and I think (knock on wood) we are finally all cleared up.   Overall, it was a great holiday season shared with our friends, family........................but ahhhh I can breath again! figuratively and literally.

Happy New Year!
Cheers to fun and helpful blogging in 2012!
