Curing My Black Thumb

“What am I getting myself into?, Oh my husband is going to kill me, Oh what am I getting myself into?”
For quite some time now, I have desperately wanted to grow a vegetable garden.  I love eating veggies (raw, cooked, with dip, or right off the vine).  I also enjoy being outside while tending to my beauties, and feeling the sense of accomplishment.  The problem is there always seems to be a roadblock for me to accomplish this feat.  For one I have a BLACK thumb (yep Black not GREEN).  Secondly, I have a hard time throwing the $$$$ away, knowing I will kill them all.  Lastly, and most importantly, I just do not have the room to make it happen.

As I am sitting here on my deck enjoying the warm and sunny weather, I find myself bored, and of course thinking “What can get myself into next”.  Of course, I could (and should) continue on the several other projects that I have started and so desperately need to finish, but it is just too pleasant out here, to be trapped inside.

So……………Where better to look for fun and creative ideas “The Internet”.  Yep this is it I tell myself,  I am going to have a vibrant veggie garden, even if it kills me.  A CONTAINER GARDEN!  I know this is no small feat, but once I put something in my head it is hard for me to stop from trying.

Now, in the past, I have successfully grown jalapeños, tomatoes, and other hot peppers in containers, but I am stepping it up a notch.  I will be researching the web these next few weeks and will keep everyone updated on my plans, my actions, and the of course the results.  Wish me luck!
