It's been nearly 8 months since I have last posted and it is hard to even know where to begin. I guess I'll start with why I even decided to check back on my blog. I just entered a contest through Facebook. Mission: Makeover 2013. It is basically a contest to showcase two re-finished projects I have done around the house. The final prize being gift certificates galore! Mainly to craft/thrift stores, and cute little boutiques (yes please). So, while I was searching my house for two of my favorite pieces, I realized how much I miss crafting, cooking, and just finding new and interesting projects to complete. Then I opened up my blogger page to "Pin" one of my favorite dishes- "Oh My Thai" and realized that I have had quite a few page visits recently. What!? How!? Why!? Oh yeah......its that thing called Social Media. It is insane how much people are becoming reliant on information thru social media. Let's see we have got Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, umpteen blogs, Google +, Instagram, and Candy Crush (I know, not really social media but it sure takes up MY time). Yep, I have an account for every single one of them. However, I mainly spend my free time..aka 10:00pm-12:00am on Facebook, Pinterest, and a select few of my favorite blogs. Long story short (er) I am ready to once again attempt to start sharing my craziness with this ever growing Internet world. However.......
Beware:
1) As mentioned above, I don't have a ton of spare time. Chasing around two kids (yep that's right, during my absence I had a little baby girl. Charleigh Rosemary-More to come about her, but we are so happy to have her in our lives. Lovvvvvvve her!). Plus after three wonderful months of maternity leave, I am again working full time, and unfortunately can't dedicate myself to blogging.
2) I realized as I am trying find pictures of my crafts and things I want to share, that I don't have before photos. Only the final results. Pinterest must have something I can do to remember right?
3) We have made the switch from computer to I-pad. It is great and all, but wow do my arms hurt from typing this while trying to hold it up. I think I may have to pull that lap-top back out of storage. Also trying to figure out the ins-and-outs of working with "Blogger"on the pad is awful. Seriously just now figured out how to copy and paste!
4) I am starting a craft club. "Nifty and Thrifty Craft Club" ( oh boy I've gotta figure out how to link stuff now-yep I'm getting out the lap-top). No one in the group has been in a craft club before, so our failures may be posted as well as our treasures.
5) It's 1:30 am and I'm writing this so who knows if it makes any sense.
Anyways, sorry to disappoint you have been just dying to hear from me ;). Life just took over!
