My Mother-In-Law and I are sitting here, and she asked me what it is that I blog about. I explained that I try to share exciting events and occurrences happen in my life. Meanwhile, I sit staring at the computer, blank faced and thinking "well what has happened to me recently that is worth sharing.
Besides my normal adoration of playing with Cooper, and watching daily the new things he has learned, I have found myself busy with PROJECTS! I'm not sure if its the change in weather, Cooper being more independent, or maybe the thought "Um-mm yep that would be a great Christmas present!" Either way, I have seemed to keep myself busy with several projects. I can't share what they are, or show you the finished product quite yet because like I said......................................................................"It may be your present" ;)
What makes doing a PROJECT worthwhile? We see a cool idea, and think oh yeah I can do that. Then we spend a nice amount of money, gather our materials, and finally dedicate hours of our precious time to create the masterpiece. Worth it? Or should we have just spent the $19.99 to buy the original one we saw?
Sometimes I would agree with just buying it, other times for whatever reason, I choose to continue my quest on doing my Projects. It gives me "me" time, it stimulates my sometimes bored mind, allows me time to vent (using grown-up language), and sometimes I end up creating a work of art worth sharing.
Keep posted and I'm bound to share some of them with you all.....so you can re-create or maybe be inspired to work the night away. In the meantime, you can check out http://pinterest.com/sarahag23/diy/ to see some of the projects that I hope to create.

I couldn't agree more! There are times that it's cheaper and less aggravating to just buy it. But then again, it's fun to see what your creative mind can do!
